More About The Artist

About the Artist Continued...

Her family heritage goes back to early Idaho history. Her great grandparents had a homestead just outside City of Rocks National Reserve, and her grandfather’s family were amount the pioneers that came from Canada, settled throughout Idaho and Utah. One of her relatives, played a major part in the history of Idaho. “The settlement of the West, gold fever played an important role. A vision of the mother lode could send a man searching and dreaming for years. The Caribou National Forest was named for an early miner nicknamed Cariboo Jack, who along with two friends, discovered the first gold in 1870 near what is now called Caribou Mountain. Jesse Fairchild, alias Cariboo Jack, had a reputation as a story teller, a weaver of tall tales about the Canadian Caribou Country. Today we remember him as the namesake of the Caribou National Forest.” Like her former relatives, Iverson, has carved a name for herself on both a national and international level.

"The glory of creation itself, has always inspired me to record my response to it. Painting for me is a way of seeing and understanding the world, and my place in it. I love the way color and light effects everything I see, and increases my sensitivity to it's beauty. Being able to paint has been a wonderful blessing in my life and I can only hope that my appreciation for this gift is reflected in my work."
